Feeders, interlocks

Any other similar condition, interlocking with other feeders or sequential controls etc. [Pg.305]

The interpanel control wiring tor interlocking between feeders, space heaters and panel illumination will also run through this wireway or control bus chamber,... [Pg.368]

The NORIT Porta-Powdered Activated Carbon (Porta-PAC) dry injection system pneumatically conveys an adjustable amount of powdered activated carbon (PAC) from bulk bags into the flue gas streams of incinerators for mercury and dioxin emission reductions. PAC is metered using a volumetric feeder into a pneumatic eductor where moving air transfers the carbon to the injection point. A series of interlocks control the operation of the unit and allow local or remote operation and monitoring of the unit. This technology is commercially available. All information is from the vendor and has not been independently verified. [Pg.822]

At the present time, it is impossible to obtain an explosion-proof feeder. The feeder s electric coil can burn out causing sparking within the enclosure and possibly igniting powder or solvent vapors that have accumulated. To avoid this possibility, air purge systems are installed to prevent the buildup of explosive or flammable material. The air purge systems are also interlocked with the equipment so that in the event of lost air flow, the vibrator will be shut down and an alarm sounded. [Pg.174]

Primary selective circuit arrangements utilize two primary selectable feeders for each transformer. These feeders are either connected to the line side of two interlocked primary non-fused disconnect switches that have a common load side fuse or to the line side of two interlocked primary fused disconnect switches. The latter configuration is shown in Fig. 2. Only one primary disconnect switch can be closed at any time. [Pg.1486]

Sometimes several control modes, e.g. gap control and screw feeder control by main motor amperage, are combined and/or integrated into the overall control circuit of an entire plant. In such cases, proper introduction of interlocks is also an important consideration. For quality control, modern plants often use PLC controllers with extensive data logging capabilities which include momentary information and trending. [Pg.337]

Flash evaporation is another techniqne for the deposition of films whose constituents have different vapor pressures. Small quantities of the constituents in the desired ratio are continuously dropped at a predetermined rate from a vibration feeder into a sufficiently heated crucible or boat so that they are evaporated instantly. The temperature must be sufficiently high to evaporate the less volatile material. Figure 2.3 shows the flash-evaporation apparatus used to grow the different layers that compose a microbattery metallic contacts, cathode, electrolyte, lithium anode deposited under vacuum of 10-100 mPa pressure. This system has two vacuum chambers. Vacuum chamber A is devoted to evaporation of In-Se films while lithium and glass films are formed in chamber B. Two interlock mechanisms are used the first one transfers the grown In-Se film to the chamber B and the second interlock system is ntilized to carry lithium pieces from an inert-gas glove box to the evaporation boat. [Pg.11]

Interlock machines Interlock elastomeric fabrics are produced by adding a lay-in feeder for the elastic yams positioned between the cylinder and the dial yam feeds, as shown in the feeds stmctures in Figure 3.8. Therefore, the yams are trapped... [Pg.66]

Main feeders and distribution feeders for localized switchboards and panelboards usually are run in rigid metal conduit. Large power blocks are distributed in busways. Where plant floor use or equipment is changed frequently, it often is advantageous to distribute all main feeders in the form of interlocked armored cable run in cable trays. [Pg.718]
