Feature Complexity

In order to construct new types of binding and activating models of dioxygen molecules, Jitsukawa, Masuda and their co-workers have synthesized a novel group of tripodal tetradentate ligands and successfully utilized them in the formation of mononuclear copper(II) complexes with novel structural features (complexes (473)-(488)).395-403 This group of ligands has four... [Pg.835]

The stability of trihydride complex (171) has been found to be a remarkable feature. Complex (171) is stable under inert atmosphere up to 115 °C in the solid state and in toluene solution at room temperature for months. It was observed that when the toluene solution was heated at 100 °C, no decomposition occurred until indium(O) traces appeared. In the presence of catalytic amount of indium (0), complex (171) decomposed entirely in a few minutes, freeing the free carbene, IMes (equation 24). [Pg.6634]

For each of the four features (platforms, feedstocks, products, and processes) of a biorefinery the TRL can be assessed using level description between 1 ( basic research ) to 9 ( system proven and ready for full commercial deployment ). Based on the TRL the feature complexity (FC) for each single feature of a biorefinery is calculated. With the number of features and the FC of each single feature the Feature Complexity Index (FCI) for each of the four features (platforms, feedstocks, products and processes) is calculated. The BCI is the sum of the four FCIs.To simplify the presentation the Biorefinery Complexity Profile (BCP) is introduced. The BCP is a compact format to present the complexity of a biorefinery by giving the BCI and the four FCIs of each feature. The BCP, which includes the BCI and the four FCIs has the following format BCP ... [Pg.25]

As with boron, the NHC chemistry of phosphorus is extensive. As a result, this section of the review will be divided into foiu- subsections based on the oxidation state of the phosphorus center of interest in the featured complexes. [Pg.492]
