Ezitimibe

Ezitimibe inhibits absorption of cholesterol from the intestine, probably by interfering with a cholesterol transport system. It is used as an adjunct to therapy with statins in patients with severe hyperiipidaemia, or alone if statins are not tolerated. 

Adverse reactions to ezitimibe are gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, fatigue and myalgia.
