EZchrom

In 2010, Agilent started launching rtgi/ewt OpenLAB CDS. Agilent talks about an evolution of its software instead of calling it a new CDS. Two versions are currently available on the market the ChemStation and the EZchrom edition. Both of them use the same control panel module and the same report generator. All other software parts are adjusted to the customs of ChemStation and EZchrom, respectively. 

This approach is less spectacular than the introduction of a new product. Anyway, a soft and less extensive changeover is possible. 

Strengths modern network technology, large integration into the OpenLAB family, for example, direct search in OpenLAB ECM from the CDS. 

Particularly, in Europe, Chromeleon could take root as a significant and great CDS. With version 7.0 introduced in 2010 and 7.1 released in the beginning of 2011, a fully new product has been developed. Strengths of the previous version 6.8 have been kept, and weaknesses have been ehminated forcefully. 

Strengths easy to use, support of the most common HPLC and GC instruments, database-supported architecture.

Analysis of Tween 80 was performed using a Hewlett Packard 1100 series HPLC equipped with a Sedex 55 Evaporative Light Scattering Detector (ELSD). The mobile phase consisted of 80% acetonitrile and 20% water. Duplicate injections (5 pL) of each sample were evaluated by HPLC. Potassium iodide, used for the 1-D column and 2-D box tracer studies, was analyzed with a continuous flow Isco V4 variable UV wavelength absorbance detector equipped with an EZChrom Chromatography data acquisition system. 

All peaks obtained in the chemical analysis were integrated and the concentrations were calculated using the EZChrom Elite software (Scientific Software, Pleasanton, CA).

Agilent has obtained the EZchrom software with the acquisition of Scientic Software. Over the years, EZchrom has become the core part of many other CDS. Just as ChemStation, the EZchrom software has been revised and is called OpenLAB CDS EZchrom Edition.
