RoUed-zinc products in the form of strip, sheet, wire, and rod have many and varied commercial appUcations. Strip is formed into dry-ceU battery cans, mason jar covers, organ pipes, grommets, eyelets, and many other objects, some of which are subsequentiy brass or chromium plated (jewelry, medaUions, bathroom accessories, etc) (132). Electroless copper solutions underwent similar development during the same period (10). Early printed circuit boards used mechanically attached eyelets to provide electrical conductivity between the copper sheathing laminated on two sides of a plastic board. Electroless copper plating provided a less expensive, better conductive path, allowing much greater numbers and smaller sizes of holes. Later, electroless coppers even replaced the laminated bulk copper sheathing in the semiadditive and additive processes (see Copper).

The rims of the wheels are fitted with eyelets to accept rockets whose sticks are supported by the lower wheel. These are matched to fire at intervals as the wheels revolve, while a battery of Roman candles fires from the centre of the top wheel. Both wheels are fitted with gerbs and drivers to effect rotation, the complete device being appropriately matched such that the overall effect includes two revolving circles of fire, each throwing out glittering arrays of sparks, while candle stars emanate from the centre and rockets fly off vertically.

Using a syringe fitted with a 21 gX inch needle aspirate the fluid. Insert the needle-eyelet inwards, into the flank and pull sideways to prevent blocking. 

Cellulose film in translucent and opaque colours was cut and folded to make colourful vanes for countless toy windmills to amuse children at the seaside— the vanes being fixed on a central wire spindle by means of a metal eyelet embedded in them (the spindle in turn being fitted to a handle consisting usually of a short piece of dowel). 

The stitches or eyelets should not be so close together that there is risk that the pieces might tear. For similar reasons, tension and strain on the join should be avoided. The fixing (clips, eyelets, thread, etc.) should be compatible with the articles to be joined, not harder or more abrasive. Film, non-woven, and woven fabrics all may be finished in this way. With film and non-wovens the stitches should be loose and separated fairly widely thread should be of about the same diameter as the thickness of film or fabric. When selecting thread or other fixings for woven fabrics the gauges should be compatible with the warp and weft (not too thick, and not too fine). 

All paper clips, eyelets, or any metallic pieces attached to the frozen items should be removed immediately after thawing before any additional energy was applied. 

All general porins contain pores with sizes allowing the permeation of molecules up to molecular masses of about 600 Da (Nikaido, 1994). The pores come with various selectivities. The porin from Rhodobacter capsulatus, for instance, contains a rather nonpolar binding site near the external end of the pore eyelet, indicating that it may pick up molecules...
