Extension Cords and Power Strips

Extension cords and multiple outlet electrical power strips can be dangerous. 

Directory should be current for the present usage of ihe facility. This should be evaluated during a safety inspection. 

The door that provides access to the breaker switeh operating handles should be unlocked. People should have unobstructed access to the eireuit breaker switch operating handles so that power may be shut-off in an emergeney. 

The outer door or panel covers the wiring connections and should be bolted to the box or looked to prevent easy access. Any outer door that is not bolted and can not be locked should be modified by maintenance so that it is bolted or screwed closed.
