Experimental Data on Heterogeneity

Using SAXS, the microphase structure of various IPNs has been investigated. The following IPNs have been studied. 

IPNs based on oligoester acrylates synthesized using anionic polymerization [135]. 

IPNs based on oligoisoprene dihydrazide and epoxy resin [137].

The Walton s theory for the stationary nucleation rate was extensively used for interpretation of experimental data on heterogeneous condensation from a vapor phase [2.57-2.60]. However, it was for a long time considered applicable only to this special case of phase formation. Stoyanov [2.61] was the first to realize in 1973 that the Walton s expression for the stationary nucleation rate can be obtained directly from the general formula of Becker and Doring [2.6] if all terms M in the denominator of equation (2.9) are neglected with respect to the one corresponding to the critical nucleus.
