Evaporative drying current practice

It is desirable to have a minimum of water to evaporate in f arpet manufacture for the obvious energy saviit. Therefore, the dry filler makes it possible to compound a 50 solids latex to about 85% solids. In current practice for viscosity control purposes, it is necessary to reduce this to about 82% solids with a small amount of water. Current trends aim to eliminate the need for this dilution. [Pg.307]
