Evaluation of the dissolution-rate constant

Content of Fe in alloy (mass %) Time (s) Concentration of elements in aluminium (mass %) Fe in aluminium [Pg.225]

Calculated from mass loss measurements. b Found by chemical analysis of aluminium alloys after the runs. [Pg.226]

Clearly, under conditions of diffusion control the rate of dissolution expressed in terms of the concentration of dissolving elements in the melt does not depend upon the atomic packing density of the crystallographic faces of any substance under investigation. Therefore, dissolution of single crystals of different orientation (line 2 in Fig. 5.7) is characterised by the [Pg.227]

In absence of Lee the initial dissolution rates follow this order normal>cheno-rich/urso-rich. With added Lee, initial dissolution rate is faster in cheno-rich bile[ll]. Evaluation of the dissolution rate constant shows that urso-rich bile dissolves more rapidly when Lee content is 10%. At 20-25 Lee, a thin liquid-crystalline film was observed microscopically on the surface of the compressed disk of ChM[ll]. [Pg.157]
