The operational parameters of oscillating system are important for the minimisation of tool wear, because deviations in the amplitude and oscillation rates affect the quality of geometrical structures and increase the wear rate. The wear rate when working with rotational symmetrical tools can be further reduced by applying an additional rotation to the tool, which will lead to an improved precision of geometrical structure to be machined.
