Environmental Protection Agency data call

The metabolism of individual chloro- -triazines has been the subject of renewed research in plants as a result of the reregistration process initiated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) in the form of data-call-ins for new study requirements. Atrazine was chosen as a model compound for this class of. v-triazines because completed research on several crops has greatly expanded our knowledge of the original pathway (Figure 7.1) as proposed by Lamoureux et al. (1973). [Pg.77]

The purpose of this example is to demonstrate the efficacy of a silver composition of the present invention against the bacteria that cause tuberculosis. This example describes the procedures for evaluation of the present invention for tuberculocidal efficacy. The methodology is based on the Tuberculocidal Activity Test Method as accepted by the EPAon Dec. 11, 1985. [Refer to United States Environmental Protection Agency, 1986. Office of Pesticides and Toxic Substances. Data Call-In Notice for Tubercuolocidal Effectiveness Data for All Antimicrobial Pesticides with Tuberculocidal Claims. (Received Jun. 13, 1986). [Pg.13]

A relational table has a name, chosen when it is created. Although any name is possible, the name typically reflects the nature or source of the data contained in the table. Each column must also have a name. Consider Table 2.1, called EPA since it was constructed from data provided by the Environmental Protection Agency.2 This table is readily understandable to any chemist. Each row contains information about one compound and each column contains a molecular attribute or property. In order to make it part of a relational database, a minimum of two things must be specified for each column the column name and the column data type. In this example, the column names are Name, Formula, MW, logP, and MP corresponding to the compound name, molecular formula, molecular weight, octanol-water partition coefficient, and melting point. The column name in a relational table is arbitrary but is usually representative of the data contained in the column. [Pg.6]

I met with DHS S T representatives several times early in the study process to discuss the statement of task, data availability, and the departments objectives in commissioning this study. Based on these discussions and from discussions with DHS representatives at the committee s first meeting, it was agreed that this study should complement and not attempt to duplicate other ongoing activities such as the DHS Risk Analysis and Management for Critical Asset Protection (RAMCAP) and Environmental Protection Agency s (EPA s) Off-Site Consequence Analysis. Thus, the committee did not attempt to assess the effectiveness of current protective measures although called for in the statement of task this was a part of the DHS RAMCAP effort, which DHS representatives made clear should not be duplicated. As the statement of task indicates, the focus of this review is on the vulnerabilities of the supply chain as a whole rather than the vulnerability of individual chemical plants. [Pg.147]
