Environmental accountability life cycle inventories

LCA is a technique to assess the potential environmental aspects associated with products or services. It is a compilation of an inventory of relevant inputs and outputs, evaluating the potential environmental impacts associated with them and interpreting the results of the inventory and impact phases in relation to the objectives of the study. The term life cycle indicates that all stages in a product s life, from resource extraction to ultimate disposal, should be taken into account. [Pg.342]
