Emission from Polypeptides and Proteins

We will not present a comprehensive discussion in this chapter of all the proteins and polypeptides known to contain tyrosine but not tryptophan. Our purpose in this section is to review the important aspects of tyrosine emissions from proteins studied since the reviews by Longworth(1) and Cowgill,(3) as these reviews provide an excellent, comprehensive coverage of the older literature.
