Electrospinning doped polyaniline

Conductive polymers have been widely investigated as promising candidates for the counter electrode materials due to their unique properties, such as relatively high conductivity, good stability, low cost, and easy coating. Conductive polyaniline (PANI) is one of the widely studied conductive polymers. A simple electrospinning method was developed by Peng et al. [82] to directly deposit conductive 10-camphorsulfonic acid (CSA)-doped polyaniline (PANI) blended with polylactic acid (PLA) composite films (PANI CSA-PLA) on conductive substrates. [Pg.127]

To improve PANI processability, the first approach to obtain polyaniline doped with camphorsulfonic acid (PANI-CSA) and doped nanofibers blended with common pol5miers by electrospinning was done by MacDiarmid s group. In another study a nonwoven mat was obtained by using a PANI/poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) solution dissolved in chloroform. By controlling the ratio of PANI to PEO in the blend, fibers with conductivity values comparable to that of PANI-CSA/PEO cast films were produced. [Pg.217]
