The preparation of 29 was reported in 1963 38). Three years later, however, these results were shown to be false 39,40). Cyclopropanes with electrophone substituents (e.g. 7t-electron systems like carbonyl or aromatic groups), on the other hand, easily accept electrons. In many cases this leads to skeletal rearrangements and further reactions.
