2 Methanol Steam Reforming 2 [MSR 2] Electrically Heated Parallel Channel Chip-like Reactor 

The catalyst was introduced as a suspension into the ready-made reactor. Resistance devices for temperature sensing and a meander for heating, both made of platinum, were incorporated into the reactor, which had overall dimensions of 40 x 40 x 3 mm. A pressure drop of approximately 1.6 bar was calculated for the whole reactor at the design point. 

A deviation not exceeding 10% was determined for the flow through each individual channel by numerical simulation. Methanol conversion of 88% was achieved at 200 °C reaction temperature at a water/methanol molar feed composition of 1.5 [21],
