Einstein, Albert emigration

Henry emigrated to Arizona with his parents in 1912, when the Mexican revolution broke out Many years later, he became a U.S. citizen, appearing before a judge who had just naturalized Albert Einstein. 

Albert Einstein, 1879-1955. German physicist, professor in Zurich, Prague, and Berlin. Emigrated to the US (Princeton) in 1933. Nobel price for physics in 1921. 

By the early part of the twentieth century, the wave theory of hght appeared to be well entrenched. But in 1905 the German physicist Albert Einstein (1879-1955 emigrated to the United States in 1933) discovered that he could explain a phenomenon known as the photoelectric effect by postulating that hght had both wave and particle properties. Einstein based this idea on the work of the German physicist Max Planck (1858-1947). 

After a 6-year struggle, and with help from the international scientific community, as well as a visit to the Soviet Union by Senator Edward M. Kennedy, Levich and his wife were finally allowed to emigrate to Israel on 1 December 1978. In March 1979, he accepted an invitation to become the Albert Einstein Professor of Science at City College, New York, where he established the Institute of Applied Chemical Physics and became its first Director.
