Effect of Refrigeration on Vaporization Rates

Some tests conducted using the application of a cooling medium showed evaporation rate reductions on the order of 50%, just from the resulting reduction of the pool s temperature and the vapor pressure of the liquid. Naturally this type of reduction is totally dependent on the physical properties of the spilled material (Greer and Gross, 1980 Greer, 1976).
