Economic repression

No doubt the cost of xylanolytic enzymes will be one of the factors determining their application in the pulp and paper industry as well as in other areas. Economically feasible xylanase production can be achieved in paper mills employing xylanase-positive transformants of common industrially used microorganisms that are capable of utilizing inexpensive carbon sources originating there. A substantial improvement in the production of xylanolytic systems can be expeaed from mutants of non-cellulolytic microorganisms that are resistant to catabolic repression. Such mutants usually exhibit hyperproduction of extracellular enzymes. 

Soluble potassium may be made available to plants by the action of biological end products upon. the zeolite compounds of the soil. Maclntire has shown, however, that the economic additions of calcic and inorganic materials function to protect native soil potassium and give a repressive rather than a liberative chemical effect. 

Typicality meant that life must be depicted in the forms of life itself (this is why Socialist Realism did not tolerate any form of non-realism, fantasy, or play). But this was a particular kind of verisimilitude.
