The Council s work will be closely linked to related efforts of organizations, such as, the Committee for Economic Development, the Business Roundtable, the Conference Board, and the Industrial Research Institute. If feasible, the Council may. Indeed be affiliated with one or more of them. 

Sebastian Loureiro is a physician and holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center. He is Emeritus Professor at the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), Brazil, and Executive Coordinator of the National Institute of Science and Health Technology. Recently his research has focussed on access to medical technology and health inequalities. He has contributed to the academic and institutional development of the fields of health economics and health technology at the Institute of Collective Health, University of Bahia, and is an active member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Association of Collective Health (ABRASCO) and Brazilian Association of Health Economics (ABrES).
