Duriez test

Duriez Test (7). Appreciation of the mechanical property and resistance to mixture-breakdown under the effect of water, on cylindrical, compacted test samples of the mixture. The test is carried out at 18°C. [Pg.160]

Preparation of the Test Samples. For granulometry less than 14 mm, the test sample weight = 1,000 g and the diameter = 80 mm. Double-acting compaction is at 120 bar in cylindrical molds for 5 min with a hot mixture (160°C). For granulometry greater than 14 mm, the expanded Duriez test is used. The test sample weight = 1,000 g and the test sample diameter = 120 mm. Double-acting compaction is at 120 bar in cylindrical molds for 5 min with a hot mixture (160°C). Measurements. [Pg.160]

Stability and performance under the influence of water using standardized methods Duriez, Bresilien, and Marshall tests (see Appendix ). [Pg.149]
