Fillets, drawings

In continuous flow operations, a slurry is continuously added and withdrawn from a single-stage mixer. Progressive buildup must not occur in fillets, and the discharge composition to the mixer must equal the inlet composition. Discharge from the tank occurs at a particular draw-off point, the only point in the tank that requires the mixture to have the same composition as the inlet. 

The technical drawings are created with the aid of geometrical elements available within the system. The following geometrical elements can be used points, straight lines, parallel lines, tangents, circles, arcs, fillets, ellipses, and elliptical arcs such as splines. After liberally applying the adhesive to the hole and stud, the stud should be screwed slowly and gently into the hole as far as possible and then screwed back. The vacuum created will then draw adhesive from the fillet at the entrance to the hole back down the thread ensuring that it is adequately filled. 

Stress corrosion and/or fatigue failures because the radii at fillets were sharp instead of rounded, as called for on the drawings.
