Dppm related complexes treatment

Photolysis of a mixture of R CsCH and Re(CO)4 PR2CH2PR2)Re(CO)4 results in n "alkynides, y-, n -allcynides, and y-, n -vinyl complexes. Treatment of Re2(CO)g(y-dppm)2 or related compounds with PhCsCH leads to y-g, n -alkynide species. [Pg.251]

Treatment of the related [Pt2HMe(//-H)(//-dppm)2]+ cation with dppm, PMe2Ph, or PPh3 causes elimination of dihydrogen (but not methane) and formation of [Pt2MeL(/i-dppm)2]+. The complex where L = rjl-dppm has also been prepared by addition of methyl iodide to [Pt2(dppm)3]. The elimination follows second-order kinetics, and in the reaction with PPh3 the intermediate [ H( Ph 3 P)Pt( fi-H)( -dppm)2 PtMe]+ could be observed by NMR spectroscopy at low temperature (115) ... [Pg.27]

The complexes [CpFe(dppm)(CsCR)] (R = Bu. C02Me, SiMc3, Ph etc.) and the related [Cp Fe(dppe)((Mi R)] (R = BuK Ph) can be oxidised chemically orclectrochemically to 17-electron monocations which have ESR and MOssbauer spectra indicative of Fe(lII) species. Oxidation of [Cp Fe(dppe)(CsCH)] with Cp2Fe+ followed by treatment with KOBu produces the C4-bridged species [Cp Fe(dppe)(C CC )Fe(dppe)Cp J which itself can be oxidised to mono-and dications. ... [Pg.285]
