Diorgano Tellurium Thiolates

Diphenyl tellurium oxide and 3-mercaptopropanoic acid or an ester of hydrothioacetic acid yielded diorgano tellurium thiolates.  

Conversion to Diorgano Tellurium Carboxylates/Sulfonates, or Sulfates 

Heating diorgano tellurium oxides with neat carboxylic acid anhydrides or with their solutions in organic solvents yielded diorgano tellurium diacylates Carboxylic acids in organic solvents effected the same conversion - 

When diphenyl tellurium oxide and diphenyl tellurium diacetate were refluxed in benzene, bis[diphenyl tellurium acetate] oxide was formed.  

Sulfonic acids and their anhydrides react with diorgano tellurium oxides to produce diorgano tellurium disulfonates (p.620).
