Dinamite Nobel (explosives, heavy chemicals) [Montecatini] 100... [Pg.282]

Significant technical innovation, which once again was supported by international cooperation, was achieved in the fields of mineral colours, pigments and varnishes. Hundreds of firms contributed to domestic production, but the majority consisted of small factories and works that lacked modem equipment and capital reserves. Innovation, therefore, was promoted by a few big producers, such as the Societa del litopone (a joint-venture of Montecatini, I.G. Farben and Sachtleben AG) and DUCO (Dinamite Nobel and Du Pont). [Pg.290]

The manifold interlinks between dyes, heavy chemicals and explosives were particularly manifest inside Montecatini. This company controlled three of the six main producers of explosives Dinamite Nobel, Societa generale esplosivi e munizioni, and... [Pg.291]
