Maintenance therapy is designed to reduce the patient s desire to return to the drug that caused addiction, as well as to prevent withdrawal symptoms. The influence of the L/d ratio on the equilibrium extrudate swell is presented in Fig. 31, for three values of shear rate (3.3 s, 11 s" and 33 s ). The GKDB model seems to be insensitive to the L/D ratio at low shear rate and gives a tendency opposite to the experiments at higher shear rate. On the contrary, the mPTT model captures the decrease of the extrudate swell ratio with increasing die length-to-diameter ratio, but underestimates the values at high shear rates, mainly for the shortest dies. [Pg.324]

The power-down test is meant to simulate how temperature and humidity uniformity are affected during a power failure.
