Diamides, sulphurous

The intermediacy of phosphonoamidic-sulfonic anhydride (476) in the rearrangement of O-sulfonyl-N-phosphinoylhydroxylamine (477) with tert-butyla-mine was confirmed. The observed products, phosphonoamidate anion (478) and phosphonic diamide (479) correspond to attack of tert-butylamine at sulphur and phosphorus atoms of the anhydride (Scheme 110). ...

Phosphorus trioxide reacts violently with chlorine or bromine to produce the corresponding phos-phoryl halides (4.72). With hydrogen chloride, phosphorous acid is obtained (4.208). The lUPAG 1957 rules use these radicals also for amides, giving S02(NH2)2 sulphonyl diamide and PO (NH2)s phosphoryl triamide. As alternatives they give sulphuric diamide and phosphoric triamide. For the partial amides they put forward -amidic add names, and as an alternative the use of co-ordination nomenclature for example, NH2 S03H sulphamidic...
