Diacetylene, complex salts

Table 7. List of complex salts of diacetylene amphiphiles... [Pg.126]

Besides the layer perovskite halide salts further complex salts of unknown structure have been reported. Snce they all are formed by amphiphilic diacetylenes, it may be inferred that they exhibit a bilayer type arrangement as well. The complex salts are listed in Table 7.2. [Pg.128]

Terminal alkenes containing hydrogen linked to the triple bond undergo oxidative coupling to diacetylenes by cupric salts [5cuprous salts [59, 66] (equation 139). Copper salts are solubilized by complexing with tertiary amines, most frequently pyridine [59, 357] and tetramethylethylenediamine [66]. The coupling can also be carried out with cuprous salts of acetylenes [5 S]. [Pg.90]

Recently, the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique has been recognized as a useful way of tailoring thin films of molecular thickness. Interest in the LB technique has led to a number of investigations of different types of materials. For example, the classic long-chain fatty acids and alcohols as well as polymerizable molecules, e.g. diacetylenic acids [211-213], aromatic hydrocarbons, e.g. substituted anthracenes [214, 215], TCNQ radical anion salts [216, 217] and charge transfer complexes [218-220] and dye substances can now all be produced as monomolecular layers. [Pg.132]
