Destinations of Graduates

What s really good about this course is that it doesn t limit graduates to one specific area but provides enough skills and knowledge to go and work in lots of different sectors. (Sasha Borisova, 2010-2011 cohort).  

For many, the time spent on their project awakens a passion for research and subsequently several of our students choose to go on to study for a PhD before embarking upon their careers. 

In 2013, for the first time, a careers event was incorporated into the course, where representatives of the MSc alumni were invited to return to the department to speak about the career paths they took, how green chemistry influenced their choices and what impact it has on their current role. This opportunity to meet with former students and learn from real experiences is invaluable at a time when time when the students are considering the next stage of their career, and it has been decided to continue to hold this symposium annually.
