DESCRIPTION OF GREGPLUS

The package GREGPLUS, included in Athena Visual Studio, tests user-provided models against data on one or more observed response types and assists sequential planning of experiments. Nonlinear and overparameterized models are handled directly. The following types of information can 

Corresponding estimates for auxiliary parametric functions that the user may define. Such estimates may include alternative parameters, predicted process states, and performance measures for processes designed with the given models and data. 

Relative posterior probabilities and goodness of fit for rival models. Data containing replicates are strongly recommended for these calculations, but assumptions or specifications of experimental precision are accepted. 

Optimal choice of an additional event INEXT from a list of candidates, to obtain better estimates of model parameters and auxiliary functions and/or better discrimination among a set of candidate models. 

For calculations of Type 4, a menu of simulations of candidate events must be provided in the user s subroutine MODEL. GREGPLUS then selects the preferred conditions for the next event according to the chosen criterion of optimality, as described below and in Chapters 6 and 7.
