Deoxyribonucleic native

Ti values may occur with such native biopolymers as ribonuclease A, deoxyribonucleic acid, and collagen, whose molecular motions are restricted, but, as yet, high values have not been observed for polysaccharides in solution, or for gels, in which these motional-restriction effects may be equivalent, or less marked. However, an extensive relaxation-study by Levy and coworkers68 on poly(n-alkyl methacrylates) may serve as a model for future experiments on polysaccharides, as this type of molecule has a main chain and side chains, albeit more mobile than those in polysaccharides.

In in vitro studies there is little observable reaction between 0s04 and native deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), but it does react with denatured DNA, in which the thymine bases have probably been hydroxylated to 5,6-dihydroxy thymine via an osmium(VI) ester.610...

Cytochrome 62 is also called yeast lactate dehydrogenase (EC 1.1.2.3, lactate cytochrome c oxidoreductase) (204 205]. This cytochrome possesses both FMN and protoheme (206-211). Although the native enzyme also contains deoxyribonucleic acid, this moiety can be removed by deoxyribonuclease without affecting the enzymic activity of the enzyme (212) and is supposed to be a heterogeneous component (213). This enzyme completely differs in its heme content from animal lactate dehydrogenase and also from yeast n(—)-lactate dehydrogenase.
