Demarcation lines

The result is a hard, abrasion-resistant surface, important in many appHcations of cast kon. The depth of the chill may be controlled by regulating the amount of tellurium added. The casting shows a sharp demarcation line between the chilled and unchilled regions there is no intermediate or motded zone. Yet, the chilled portion shows excellent resistance to spalling from thermal or mechanical shock. Tellurium-treated kon is more resistant to sulfuric and hydrochloric acids than is untreated, unchilled gray kon. The amount added ranges from 0.005 to 0.1% ca 60% is lost by volatilization. Excessive addition causes porosity in the castings.

A typical homestead or Bari consists of different sites. Hussain and Miah (2004) have categorized it into five micro-sites approach road - a passage or gateway leading to the homestead front yard - the place connected to the approach road or the outer part of the homestead connected with the approach road home yard - the open place in front of the living room backyard - the site behind the household or interior place of the homestead boundary - the borderlines or demarcation lines of a homestead. These micro-sites represent the smallest production units of the home gardens that provide the opportunity to produce diversified products needed for the households for its own consumption and for cash income. However, a homestead may not have all micro-sites and the number of micro-sites usually depends on the size and location of the homestead.

In this case, the perpendicular distances are strictly less than HRAT, and as TIAT decreases the demarcation lines originating at hot stream inlets rotate upward toward the horizontal (see for instance point B, B", B " in Figure 8.24). The consequences of this rotation are that the horizontal components increase, which reflects an increase in the residual heat flow in each interval as well as the potential for heat flow across the pinch. 

The main difference between the Fisher burner and the Bunsen burner is size and heat dispersion. When trying to heat a test tube in a Fisher burner, you are likely to overheat the material. Likewise, when trying to heat a two-liter flask with a Bunsen burner, you are likely to have a long wait. The exact demarcation line of which tool you should use for which type of heating job requires common sense and experience. 

Both the type of receptivity analyses (signal problem and full time dependent problem) provide the local solution in the neighbourhood of the exciter, but a forerunner- preceding the asjmiptotic solution is present only for the full time analysis. For spatially unstable system one cannot see a clear demarcation line between the asymptotic solution from the forerunner-with one merging smoothly into the other.
