Whether the trustee acts with or without consultation of the bondholders, a prudent trustee will take great care in issuing a notice of default or enforcement notice. A prematurely issued default notice may lead to a general loss of confidence in the issuer and trigger cross defaults. However, if the trustee waits too long to issue the default notice, the amount of the bondholders recovery could suffer greatly. Under most structures the trustee is entitled to accelerate the debt immediately or upon expiration of a specified cure period. However, it is not uncommon for the trustee and the bondholders to delay enforcement in order to explore workout options with the issuer.

This happens because the default behavior of the Import Wizard, PROC IMPORT, and the External File Interface (EFI) is that they scan only 20 rows deep into the file to determine variable attributes. Text field truncation is a common problem here. Another problem is that if a field appears to be numeric in the first 20 rows but later has character text beyond the scanning depth of PROC IMPORT, the procedure will terminate with an error message. There are two workarounds for this scanning depth problem.

Please notice the two forms in each of the three tray programs Tray 10, Trayll, and Tray 12. The first form is called the input form and is just that. Simply input all design tray data in this first form. If you are not sure of the tray data to input, use the default values.
