Tretinoin peels darker skin types

Tretinoin - 0.025-0.05% is found useful for darker Asian skin whereas 0.1% is used in lighter skin types. It decreases comeocyte adhesion, decreases stratum comeum thickness, redistributes the melanin pigment, affects new collagen production, and causes mild peeling of the skin. [Pg.186]
