High-pressure cylinder

Crystallization of ECSCs was isothermally carried out under high pressure using a piston cylinder high pressure cell with diamond window (PCDW) originally made by us. The formation of isolated ECSCs was confirmed by means of transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

The piston-cylinder high pressure press used here is similar to those of previous investigators except for one major difference in the cylinder diameter (1 in. in this work J in. in others). The gauge pressure was read with a 16 in. diameter Heise gauge and multiplied by a factor of 100 to obtain... 

High Pressure Cylinders—High pressure cylinders are those with a marked service pressure of 900 psi (6205 kPa) or greater. 

The turbine-generator unit is structurally arranged as a double cylinder (high pressure and low pressure cylinder [double flow cylinder]). 

Mixtures of 10 and 20% fluorine ia nitrogen or other inert gases are commercially available ia cylinders and tube trailers from Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. Blends can be safely packaged and stored at high, eg, 13.8 MPa (2000 psi), pressure. Filled with a 20% fluorine blend, tube trailers can contain up to 500 kg of fluorine. Such high pressure mixtures permit larger quantities of fluorine to be safely shipped. 

Storage and Shipment. VDF or HFC-1132a is stored and shipped in gas cylinders or high pressure tube trailers without polymerization inhibitor and is placarded as flammable compressed gas. Terpenes or quinones can be added to inhibit polymerization. Elf Atochem North America, Inc. and Ausimont USA, Inc. supply VDE in the United States other producers are in Japan and Europe.
