Cyclists roundabout junctions

Cyclists are especially vulnerable at roundabouts, and are over-represented in collisions compared to their traffic volume at all types of junctions. Road accidents involving pedal cyclists are particularly under-reported - only one third of serious accidents and just one fifth of slight accidents involving cyclists are reported to the police. 

Many studies show that there is a higher risk of injury accidents to cyclists at roundabouts compared with other junctions. 

Like pedal cyclists, motorcyclists are significantly over-represented in collisions at roundabouts and other junctions, compared with their proportion in the traffic flow.
