Some oxygea productioa faciHties are built solely to supply Hquid oxygea, and generally Hquid nitrogen and Hquid argon, via tmck to generally smaller customers. These plants typically use a process cycle optimized for total Hquid production. [Pg.478]

Wash-elution and aspiration-dispensing cycle optimization experimental results are shown in Figures 1.14 and 1.15, respectively. A comparison of recovery yields between the tip experiment and a 96-well plate containing 15 mg of Varian SPEC C18 under the same extraction conditions gave a value of 70% for the latter, a figure obtained from three aspiration-dispensing cycles for the former. For intra-run accuracy of calibration standards, a %CV range from -3.6% to 3.5% was recorded, while for the QC samples, 7.7%, 1.3%, and 0% were obtained for QCL, QCM, and QCH (n = 18), respectively. Run precisions were 1.1 to 9.2% and 5.1 to 5.7%, respectively, for calibration and QC samples. An LLOQ of 10 ng/mL was established. [Pg.22]

An example of the cure cycle optimization is the work of Thomas et al. who used a very sophisticated model, together with a rule-based optimization routine, to pick the shortest cure cycle that met a set of performance criteria [15]. Reductions in cure time using this method ranged up to 36 percent for a single complex part and from 8 percent up to 43 percent for batches of mixed parts. Rejection rates were not increased in any case, and they were actually reduced significantly for one part. This model, although transferred to a number of companies, unfortunately has had limited use because of the lack of support for the code and the cost of qualifying it on new materials. [Pg.455]

The study of the properties of the lyophilized product collected from various locations within the lyophilizing chamber, according to a predefined sampling plan, is a useful technique, especially in areas such as trouble shooting, product development, cycle optimization, validation of cycle limits, and batch-to-batch consistency. The main purposes of carrying out a mapping of the product within the lyophilizer are the following ... [Pg.399]

The BN-350 is a fast breeder reactor located in Aktau, Kazakstan on the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea. The reactor began operation in 1972. It operated on an open uranium fuel cycle optimized to produce plutonium for the USSR weapons complex and generated steam for electricity, heat and seawater desalination. The reactor was in operation until April 1999 when decision for final shutdown had been taken by Government. In this report the operational experience is considered for the following equipment that directly contacts the liquid metal coolant The main circulation pumps of primary circuit ... [Pg.63]

Polyimide and polyimide-acryhc systems are processed in chromic acid or plasma.Teflon , and R T Duroid materials are treated (before operations) in sodium-naphthalene mixtures to yield void-free, high-bond-strength copper in the PTH.The introduction of lead-free material and halogen-free material has challenged the desmear processes. The new materials are more chemically resistant, and thus more aggressive desmear cycles are required to remove any smear. These more chemically resistant resin systems are more difficult to texture. Alternative solvents, higher temperatures, and cycle optimization may be required to process these newer materials effectively. [Pg.686]
