CM4000 Guillotine Cutter (BioDot Inc.) is used to cut the assembled master cards into strips. 

Cut the assembled master card into 0.3 cm strips using a CM4000 guillotine cutter.

Cut the card into 3-5 mm wide strips using a guillotine strip cutter. 

After debaling, the material passes through initial size reduction units to separation and selection operations. Most size reduction tasks can be performed by the following machines shredder, cutter or guillotine, screw shredder, and granulator. 

The material is fed manually in a trough or on an open conveyor to the guillotine. The latter operates as opposed to the shredder, on a stroke principle. A cutter, usually hydraulically operated, is lowered from above to cut the material in slices of the desired thickness. The complete cutting process including the material feed is best operated a programmed control. 

Cartridge-Actuated Devices (CAD), now preferentially called Propellant-Actuated Devices (PAD), are used for ejection of stores from dispensers of airplanes, for the complex mechanisms of ejection of pilots from fast-flying aircraft as well as astronauts from spacecraft (such as Gemini) in cases of low-altitude aborts. The major devices are classed as Removers (Retraclors), Thrusters, Catapults, Guillotine-Type Cutters, and certain Initiators (for operation of other PAD s). 

Guillotine-Type Cutters are part of escape and stage separation systems, since they sever wires or cables preparatory to implementation of the procedure. Such cutters function in recovery systems to cut parachute shroud lines, load lines suspended from a high altitude balloon, or anchoring cables of a submerged moored mine. 

Apart from its use in decoy flares, MTV is also used in propellant igniters, and therefore, MTV crumb obtained from shock gel process is extruded in small round or cruciform strands of 2.3-2.4mm diameter. The extrusion is carried out at 121 °C, 4 MPa for round and 8.3 MPa for cruciform strands. Finally, the strand is cut with guillotine type cutter or band saw into length of 3.8-5.8 mm [29, 30].
