Figure 11.7 Fractal dimension (D) of a macromolecule section between chemical crosslinking points versus crosslinking density vf) for epoxy polymers based on epoxy oligomers and amino-containing curing agents. The D values were found from Equation (11.31) for a=A (1), A (2) and 0.25 nm (3). For the study of the interphase tension at the boundary between the oligomer and a metal, a model system was used in which liquid mercury was used for the metal. The mercury was thoroughly purified and distilled prior to use. The interphase tension was determined hy the sessile drop method [230]. The error was estimated as 3mN/m. The oligomers and adhesives based on them were ED-20 epoxy resin-hased adhesive with PEP A curing agent (12%) and PN 609-2IM polyester resin-based adhesive with MEKP(O). [Pg.65]

For compounds of epoxy resins based on epoxy-diane oligomers and resorcinol diglycidyle esters set with amine curing agents, the dependence of Tad on the content and type of the modifying additive displays distinct maxima. The adhesion strength is enhanced most when the SKD-KTRA rubber is applied at 20% (see Figs. 3.17 and 3.18). With SKN-KTR as modifier the effect is less. [Pg.157]

Adhesive Processes. Most commercially available adhesive systems consist of either thermoplastic hot melt or reactive thermosetting resins. Typical thermoset adhesive formulations contain base resin monomers and oligomers, curing agents (hardeners), catalysts, adhesion promoters, and various fillers. Adhesive properties depend on the complete mixing and adequate dispersion of the... [Pg.8535]

Amine activating agents added in the process of peroxidic curing of poly-sulfidic oligomers are introduced directly into the system, before peroxide or hydroperoxide introduction. The mechanism of aminic compounds action is based on the formation of ion radicals, in keeping with the following reactions ... [Pg.474]
