Cross sections literature compilations

Ion induced nuclear reactions for light element analysis in general and hydrogen analysis in particular have been extensively discussed in the literature. Only a few ion-induced nuclear reactions have cross sections large enough to be useful for materials analysis, and these are listed in published compilations (Amsel et al., 1971 Mayer and Rimini, 1977). 

A more surface-sensitive version of EX-AFS where the excitation cross-section fine structure is monitored by detecting the photoemitted electrons (PE-SEX-AFS), Auger electrons emitted during core-hole decay (Auger-SEXAFS), or ions excited by photoelectrons and desorbed from the surface (PSD-SEX-AFS). A compilation of surface structures determined using SEELFS and SEXAFS summarizing the pre-1990 literature appears in reference 123. 

The information cited in this manuscript covers the literature up to the end of 1970. The present compilation cannot possibly list all recorded dissociation constants, extinction coefficients, and T values of pol3niucleotides, oligonucleotides, and their complexes, As outlined in the "Explanation of Tables," some discretion had to be exercised in the selection of oligonucleotides and polynucleotides for inclusion. Every effort has been made, however, to provide more than just a representative cross section of the available literature.
