Couplings combination

The most stable nuclear configuration of this system is a pair of H2 molecules. There are three possible spin coupling combinations for H4 corresponding to three distinct stable product H2 pairs H1 H2 with H3 H4, H1 H3 with H2 H4, and H1 H4 with H2 H3. Each H atom contributes one electron, the dot diagrams indicate spin pairing. The three combinations are designated as Hfl), HOT), and H(III), respectively. They may be interconverted via square transition states, Figure 2. [Pg.334]

Combination couplings Combination (metallic-grid) couplings are lubricated in the same manner as mechanical-flexing couplings. [Pg.998]

A typical example of the parallel synthesis based on the cation pool method is shown in Fig 4. A solution of a cation generated by low-temperature electrolysis is divided into several portions. To each portion, different nucleophiles are added to obtain products of different coupling combinations. [Pg.210]

Mukund Sibi of North Dakota State University has developed (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2004,126,718) a powerful three-component coupling, combining an a,(5-unsaturated amide 9, a hydroxylamine 10, and an aldehyde 11. The hydroxylamine condenses with the aldehyde to give the nitrone, which then adds in a dipolar sense to the unsaturated ester. The reaction proceeds with high diastereocontrol, and the absolute configuration is set by the chiral Cu catalyst. As the amide 9 can be prepared by condensation of a phosphonacetate with another aldehyde, the product 12 can be seen as the product of a four-component coupling, chirally-controlled aldol addition and Mannich condensation on a starting acetamide. [Pg.63]

The epoxidation-epoxide opening sequence with this reagent provides a convenient access to the products of an //-Markovnikov addition of water to olefins. Interestingly, the Cp2TiCl/H20 couple combination shows anti stereoselectivity in the reduction step [73, 74], which is complementary to the hydroboration-oxidation method (Scheme 32). [Pg.114]

An analysis similar to those just presented can be done for other possible coupling combinations. In general,... [Pg.560]

A large-scale application of intramolecular coupling combined with concomitant aromatization is the industrial conversion of heptane into lolucne in 72% yield on heating at 500 °C in the presence of chromium and aluminum oxides [1096]. [Pg.55]

Catalytic methane combustion and WGSs are coupled. Combined SRE and WGS reaction process produced syngas with H2/CO of 30 and H2/EtOH ratio 5 at 99% EtOH conversion. The catalyst was stable during the lOOh onstream. [Pg.549]

All n-type semiconductors are thermodynamically unstable when Irradiated with supra band gap energy light In the presence of liquid electrolytes.(15-17) However, It Is well known that durable n-type semlconductor/electrolyte/redox couple combinations do exist.(18,19) For example, It has been found that n-type SI, that can undergo surface photooxidation according to equation (1) can be protected from corrosion.(20) In equation... [Pg.101]

Equation 12.59 shows an intramolecular cross-coupling combined with a carbonylation, which was used in the synthesis of ( )-ep/-jatrophone (47), a diter-pene that possesses antitumor activity.126 Early in investigations on the reactivity... [Pg.593]

An analysis of the solvent dependence of the A>c and /hh couplings combined with an analysis of the changes in the IR first overtone carbonyl bond intensities and theoretical calculations allowed Abraham and co-workers to determine directly the conformational equilibria in 2-bromocyclo-hexanone, a model compound, by the use of which the authors illustrated an improved method of conformational analysis of substituted cyclohexanones. [Pg.148]

Each electrochemical couple exhibits a characteristic electrochemical potential and a characteristic Acell voltage C, defined above, depends on the couples combined in a cell and on their concentrations. In order to quantify the properties of electrochemical couples reference electrodes are used. The reference electrode which is primarily used is the standard hydrogen electrode (SHE), or normal hydrogen electrode (NHE). In this case it is an inert Pt electrode around which hydrogen is flushed (see Fig. 3.4). The reaction involved is given by... [Pg.55]

A year later, Schmidt and Rahimit ° reported ligand 77 (Figure 8) to be highly efficient in Suzuki-Miyaura coupling. Combining 77 with Pd(OAc)2, this in situ generated... [Pg.150]

Coupling reaction. Photoinduced three-component coupling combines an alkene (enol ether, silyl enol ether, 1,3-diene, etc.) and ethyl propiolate to form a carbon chain in which the two PhSe groups from PhSeSePh are separately located. The reaction starts from p-addition of PhSe radical to the ester. [Pg.182]
