Cosmology fine-tuning

Further fine-tuning developments in cosmology and physics... 

Three further developments in cosmology and physics bore directly on the fine-tuning theme. In 1981, Alan Guth proposed a modification of the Big Bang theory. 

What are the prospects for discovering instances of fine-tuning in realms other than physics and chemistry - in biology, say Tliis question will be explored elsewhere in this volume, but it may still be helpful at this stage to draw some inferences first from what we have just learned about the structure of the fine-tuning argument in its native home, cosmology. 

Might flne-tuning in biochemistry be fundamentally different from fine-tuning in physics and cosmology ... 

Although it remains unclear how to fine-tune the nucleosynthesis without overproducing either helium or heavy elements, these proposals have become incorporated into ACDM cosmologies (section 5.2.2), which do not rely on Population 111 to provide the dark matter.
