Corrosion dynamics sample surface

The rotating panel test is a dynamic test that is described in ASTM C874-99. In this test, samples are cut into shapes and are assembled in a rotating test furnace. These samples form the hot face lining. This kind of arrangement allows the corroding medium to flow over the surface of the material. This prevents the formation of a protective coating [5,6]. Therefore, corrosion will be more severe compared to static tests.
