Corrected width

An average crystal size can also be obtained from XRD line broadening using the Scherrer formula vhich describes the corrected width of an XRD line at an angle 9 as a function of the mean size of the coherently scattering domain perpendicular to the hkl plane MCLhki... [Pg.63]

Fig. 16.10 Frequency distribution of the corrected width at half height (WHH) ofgoethites (101), hematites (110) and lepidocrocites (002) from soils and other surface environments. The range ofWHH at the abcissa corresponds to about 10-100 nm (Schwertmann, 1988b with permission). As seen in Figures 6 and 7, the final system has a tab that aides in commercial system application. This tab is formed from the release liner by the relamination step, which consists of placing a roll of laminate onto the slitter-relaminating equipment. This roll is then guided through rollers where the release liner is removed and slit (sliced) to the correct width. The slitted material is then placed... [Pg.284]

If a hacksaw is used, extend the length of the mount pins and install five blades on the frame. This should cut the correct width slot in one pass. Hacksaw blades are. 5" high, so epoxy a. 0625" wide strip along the side of the top edge to limit the depth of the cut to. 4375", If a miter box is available, set angle to 87 ... [Pg.37]

Note that the text is wrapped within cells, which makes the table of data somewhat difficult to read. You can manually change the width of the columns as discussed previously, but there is a better and more automatic way to improve the appearance and readability of the table. The table of data should already be highlighted, so click on Format/Cells..., click on the Alignment tab, click twice to uncheck the Wrap button, and click on OK. Finally, click on Format/ Column.../AutoFit Selection, and your worksheet should be formatted and readable as shown in Figure 3-10. Scroll down the worksheet, and notice that each column is now exactly the correct width to accommodate the largest number of characters in the column and that no cells have wrapped text. Text in the cells is left justified, and numerical data are right justified. [Pg.62]

The film for the Debye method is a narrow strip punched with one or two holes. Devices are available for cutting strip of the proper size from sheet film and punching properly located holes alternately, one can buy a roll of 35-mm film, which has the correct width for many Debye cameras, and punch and cut it to the right length. [Pg.167]

Be is the corrected width of line [Pg.262]

The plate shown at step 1 is to be produced from the correct width (W) bright rolled strip and has been sawn 2 mm oversize on length (L). [Pg.55]

Where a relief or undercut at the shoulder is required, e.g. where a thread cannot be cut right up to the shoulder, an undercut tool is used. This tool is ground to the correct width, the face parallel to the work axis, and is fed in the direction shown. Fig. 9.23C. [Pg.144]

Spacer Lug. One of the projections on the edge of a glazed ceramic tile or paving brick ensuring correct width of joint for sizes see BS 6431 and ASTM -C7, respectively. [Pg.303]

For the simplest structures, for example stringers, the adhesive film ean be cut into tapes of the correct width by the supplier and can then be laid down onto the stringer by hand or by a tape laying machine. [Pg.292]
