Coreceptor Molecules and Multiple Recognition

With respect to number and nature of the bound substrates the resulting supermolecule may be mono- or polynuclear and homonuclear or heteronuclear, respectively if the substrates are identical or different. 

The mode of substrate binding may be monohapto or polyhapto (t ), depending on whether fixation occurs via a single or via multiple (substrate group-binding subunit) association(s) (see also [2.11]).
