Contemporary Issues Sustainable Engineering

Third, the evidence presented in this book rests on intellectual foundations that came from the advances in many fields outside the traditional basic sciences on which most contemporary academic engineering discourse is based. These advances now provide powerful explanatory insights into many more of the human behavioural factors that shape contours of engineering feasibility the issues that demand most attention from engineers in their workplaces. Systematic observations have revealed many of these issues. The predominance of technical coordination and the human perception and behaviour issues that influence sustainability are examples of these factors.
