Contact Drying in an Agitated Filter Dryer

1 Model Assumptions Numerical model developed is based on the following assumptions  

Solvent is initially equally distributed within the particles of the granular bed. 

Boundary wall and impeller temperature remains constant. 

Physical properties such as heat capacity, thermal conductivity and Young s modulus are constant. 

During each simulation time step the temperature is uniform in each particle (Biot s number well below unity).
