Constitution specific amendments

In modem society, a search is premised upon a person s right to privacy, rather than traditional physical trespass. The Amendment protects people, not places. In Katz v. United States [24] the Court rejected the property approach in favor of a privacy approach. The Supreme Court held a nontresspassory eavesdropping into a public telephone booth constituted a search. The Court focused on the privacy aspect of the amendment, rather than applying it to specific location. The Court declined to characterize a telephone booth as a constitutionally protected area. A search occurs when (1) a person s subjective expectation of privacy is invaded providing (2) society is prepared to recognize that expectation is reasonable. The definition of reasonableness is itself determined on a case by case basis [37]. 

The second page of the form FDA 1571 contains items 12-20. Item 12 is a checklist table of contents. Any of the 10 items constituting this table of contents and contained in the specific IND submission for which the form is being prepared should be checked. An initial IND will most likely have all or a majority of the boxes checked. A protocol amendment will have items 1 and all or some of the items 6a-6d checked. 

The 10th Amendment limits federal regulation to matters specifically described in the U.S. Constitution and grants to the states authority over all other matters. Because health care is not mentioned in the Constitution, it must be regulated on a state basis, which is why licensure of optometrists and other health care providers is determined by state law. The internal norms may surface in internal procedures, technical project specifications, operating manuals and the like. These documents will in turn constitute relevant objects for state safety control state supervisory bodies evaluate the solutions and may react by requiring amendments to be made. More likely, the choices made by industry will be reviewed by the supervisory bodies in the context of the industry s applications for the various approvals, permits and licences needed to conduct the petroleum activities. 

From a legal view, Mr. Rommey is right on. As a matter of interpretation of the word person in the Fourteenth Amendment, U.S. courts have extended certain constitutional protections to corporations. This is called the doctrine of corporate personhood. Groups organized specifically for business purposes, including corporations, may also benefit from its protections, just as any other group of persons.
