Conceptual process designs scheduler

This evaluation represents the committee s understanding of the conceptual design of the modified baseline process based on information made available at the time the report was prepared. Because preliminary cost estimates and schedule information were not made available, the committee could not evaluate cost and schedule implications. 

How do you construct a software system, which emulates a specific methodology for the synthesis of processing schemes Figure 2 shows a generic, conceptual model of the design methodology. It is composed of three distinct components a Planner, a Scheduler, and a Designer. 

Pre-project work starts with an idea or concept which the client has decided to develop. The concept and design of the final process plant progresses in cycles of increasing definition. Initially a study is made, in which the concept is technically developed, optimized, and analysed as a business proposition the analysis includes considerations of technical and commercial risk, capital and operational cost, product value, and return on investment. A report is prepared if the conclusions are acceptable to the client, he may authorize the implementation of the project. Alternatively, he may authorize more funds for further conceptual development, or, of course, abandon the concept. Authorization of the implementation of the project invariably implies the expectation of a plant which will perform within specified limits, and be built in accordance with certain standards, within a promised budget and schedule. 

Figure 27.6 shows how the different analyses and evaluations of the risk of occupational accidents are co-ordinated with the design process (Kjellen, 1990 Kjellen, 1998). They are part of a total evaluation of all SHE aspects. Each activity has been defined and scheduled in Norskoil s and the contractor s SHE programmes for the Ymer project. During conceptual design, the experience checklist is established and the coarse analysis is carried out.
