The linear correlations between GC levels of introns and those of the corresponding coding sequences or GCj showed differences which increased with increasing GC, intron values being, however, lower compared to coding sequence. In the comparison W ith GCj values, differences were small for GC-poor genes, but they increased very much for GC-rich genes (not shown).
